Smokin Betty’s is the fourth restaurant in Philadelphia from the owner of Devil’s Alley and the two Sam’s Grill locations. It’s still in its infancy, but already has a following. The space is huge, a bi-level masterpiece with 200 seats, three dining rooms, and two bars decorated with exposed brick, unfurnished metal, high ceilings and dark floorboards.
The food here is, as the name suggests, focused around the grill. The chicken wings are excellent, with either a house BBQ sauce or a spice dry rub. Marinated flank steaks, St. Louis-style BBQ ribs, and sliders round out the menu.
The bars feature sixteen rotating beers on tap and an extensive cocktail menu that is changing as well.
